Good morning!

今天是一个特殊的日子，因为“湖南应用技术学院小学英语学科导师工作室”正式挂牌成立了；今天是一个美好的日子，因为小学英语学科教师和英语专业（师范方向）学生从此有了一个专业发展共同体；今天是一个欢乐的日子，因为众多关心、关爱、关怀小学英语教育的领导、嘉宾齐聚一堂共同见证高校专家教授与小学一线英语教师为共同理想筑造起的学术平台的诞生。为了这一天的到来，许许多多的领导、专家、教师付出了大量的时间、精力与智慧，我对此深表敬意，也为此隆重点赞。

Today is a special day, because " Primary English Mentor Workshop of Hunan Applied Technology University " has been officially established; today is a nice day, because from now on primary English teachers and normal English majors will have a professional development community; today is a happy day, because many leaders and guests who care, concern and show solicitude for primary English education are gathering together to jointly witness the birth of an academic platform built by university experts and professors and primary English teachers for the common and mutual ideal. For the arrival of this day, many leaders, experts and teachers have contributed a lot of time, energy and wisdom, for which I am deeply grateful and I would like solemnly give my thumbs-up.

湖南应用技术学院小学英语学科导师工作室的成立意味着小学英语学科教师有了一个更好地进行专业发展的舞台，意味着湖南应用技术学院的小学英语教育研究人员有了做好相关研究工作的稳固基地，更意味着沉甸甸的责任与应有的担当。为此，工作室的全体成员将不遗余力地将工作室打造成为集小学英语学科教学、科学研究、人才培养于一体的在全省乃至全国具有一定影响力并富有特色的小学英语学科研究与人才培养基地。我们将在“教学示范、教学改革、资源建设、教学研究”等方面真抓实干，形成小学英语学科引领效应。

The establishment of primary English mentor workshop means that primary English teachers have a better stage for professional development, it means that primary English education researchers of Hunan Applied Technology University have a solid base for relevant research work, and more than that, it means heavy and due responsibilities. To this end, we will spare no efforts to build the workshop into a provincially or even nationally influential and distinctive primary English research and talent training base that integrates primary English teaching, scientific research and talent training. We will focus on "teaching demonstration, teaching reform, resource construction and teaching research" to bring about a leading effect of primary English discipline.

习近平总书记指出，“空谈误国，实干兴邦”。我们小学英语学科导师工作室的全体成员一定会仰望星空，更会脚踏实地，一步一个脚印，通过“进行理论熏陶、引领教育教学、研发教学资源、启动科学研究、开展学术交流”等务实举措，多出成果，出好成果，构建出优质高效的小学英语学科教师专业发展共同体，为湖南和全国的小学英语教育事业做出贡献。

General Secretary Xi Jinping has pointed out that "empty talk misleads the country, and only solid deeds make the country prosperous." All the members of the primary English mentor workshop will keep our eyes at the stars, and keep our feet on the ground. We will go on, one step at a time, through such practical measures as "edifying theories, leading education and teaching, developing teaching resources, starting scientific research, carrying out academic exchanges" to produce more and better achievements, constituting quality and efficient primary English teachers' professional development community, and making contributions to the primary English education cause of Hunan province and the whole country.

俗话说得好，“良好的开端便是成功的一半”。今天，湖南应用技术学院小学英语学科导师工作室得到了各位领导、专家、嘉宾、老师们的大力支持与热情关怀，应该说是一个良好的开端。我相信，有你们的继续关心、支持，有工作室全体成员持续不懈的努力，我们一定会取得巨大的成功，也一定会以优异的成绩来回报大家的关爱。

As a famous saying goes, "well begun is half done". Today, the primary English mentor workshop of Hunan Applied Technology University is enjoying strong support and warm care from leaders, experts, guests and teachers, which is a good start. I have reasons to believe that with your continuous care and support and the consistant efforts of all the members of the workshop, we are sure to achieve great success and repay everyone's love with excellent results.
